In September 2017, in the face of the durian price fever in the Central Highlands provinces, many traders were willing to invest in orchards to purchase both young and ripe durians. In Krông Pắk district (Đắk Lắk province), some high-quality durian varieties were purchased at a record price of 54,000 VND/kg, the highest price in many years.

Meanwhile, the price of dried coconuts in Trà Vinh province continued to increase, with the buying price at the garden reaching 150,000 VND/dozen (12 fruits). This is the highest price for dried coconuts in the past 6 years, bringing in an income of about 15 million VND/month per hectare of coconut plantation.

On the other hand, the vegetable market in Lâm Đồng province remained relatively stable, with only a slight decrease of 2,000-3,000 VND/kg for certain vegetables such as tomatoes, broccoli, and Chinese cabbage compared to the beginning of the month.

Looking back at the first 9 months of the year, the fruit market experienced irregular fluctuations due to the seasonal characteristics of each fruit. Meanwhile, the vegetable market was affected by weather conditions, especially recent storms, which reduced the supply and caused a significant increase in prices in July and August. However, the market shows signs of recovery.
